Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road Post-Incident Traffic Management

Tangerang (1/14) - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. Jakarta-Tangerang-Cengkareng (JTC) Branch stationed officers for traffic management along km 23+200 Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road after a truck trailer got caught under one of the Pedestrian Bridges.

On Monday (1/14), an empty-loaded Hino truck, with a plate number of B 7419 TYT, was driving along Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road when its trailer got caught under km 23+200 Pedestrian Bridge. It was reported to happen at 2.10 p.m. The incident forced Jasa Marga JTC Branch to close lane 2 and divert vehicles to other lanes (1, 3, 4 and shoulder lane).

The bridge steel structure was held up by a crane to evacuate the trailer truck and the pier was immediately bolstered with H Beam shoring. After making sure that the Pedestrian Bridge was firmly upheld, the area was cleared and all the lanes are once again operational.

Jasa Marga JTC Branch General Manager Reza Febriano revealed that the bridge upholding and lane clearance take less than 24 hours. Meanwhile, permanent repairs will be performed as soon as possible using damaged steel structure replacement method.

“We have posted officers on location for the post-incident traffic management due to the heavy traffic congestion around the area,” he added.
