After Handling The Inundation, The Bitung Exit Access for Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road Operates Normally Again

Jakarta (2/23) - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has handled the inundation on Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road at km 26 Bitung Interchange (SS).  Bitung Exit is currently opened and has been reoperating normally since 9.10 p.m, while Bitung access for Cikupa lane is undergoing lane clearance.

Bitung SS was inundated due to the massive water flowing from the surrounding channels to the Retarding Basin, as well as the recent heavy rainfall that caused an overloaded embankment. Jasa Marga, therefore, utilized 40-30-, and 20-liter/second existing submersible pumps with an additional of five 80-liter/second pumps, including the pumps from the River Basin Center of Cisadane Ciliwung River.  Sandbags with a tarpaulin layer were used to hold back water runoff.   Bitung access at km 26 was also temporarily closed while the lane was being cleared and the traffic flow of post-flood areas was safeguarded.
Jasa Marga apologizes for the inconvenience and advises travelers to anticipate their trip by accessing the latest toll road traffic information through our 24-hour Call Center at 14080 and Twitter @PTJASAMARGA.
