Jakarta (09/04) PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk as a Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) has received appreciation from the Ministry of Transportation as the efforts of which always prioritizes traffic safety on toll roads.The form of appreciation was in the form of awards and certificates submitted during the Technical Coordination Meeting (Rakornis) of the Directorate General of Land Transportation, Ministry of Transportation on Thursday (08/04).

Jasa Marga President Director Subakti Syukur, has attended to receive the award as a dedicated BUJT for Safety Action that has been implemented in order to improve transportation safety from the Director General of Land Transportation Budi Setiyadi and witnessed by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi virtually.

Subakti said that this award was an acknowledgment of Jasa Marga's efforts in improving the safety of toll road users. Jasa Marga always strives to improve the quality of service to toll road users, both from the main functions of toll roads such as aspects of smoothness, safety and comfort to the fulfillment of the functions of supporting and complementary needs in the rest area.

"Surely, the award as a dedicated BUJT for the Safety Action which has achieved by Jasa Marga is the result of hard work so far, not only from Jasa Marga, but also from related stakeholders such as the Ministry of Transportation, the Police and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. One of the way to ensure that the toll roads being managed meet safety and security standards, Jasa Marga conducts a road assessment of the Jagorawi Toll Road and the Cipularang Toll Road in collaboration with the International Road Assessment Program (iRap), as well as the University of Indonesia (UI) and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). Road assessment includes an assessment of road conditions and road equipment along toll roads, one of which aims to reduce the number of deaths and injuries due to traffic accidents on the road. The results of the road assessment concluded that the Jagorawi and Cipularang Toll Roads achieved a 3 star rating.
"The results of the assessment from the road assessment show Jasa Marga is ready to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that the United Nations (UN) has announced, as well as the targets for Global Road Safety Performance (GRSP) and the National General Plan for Indonesian Road Safety (RUNK). 2011 - 2035.
