Bandung (4/29) - SOE Covid-19 Task Force of West Java and PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, as the coordinator, handed over an aid to the West Java Provincial Government to handle the Covid-19 outbreak in which the distribution will be prioritized for 120 Hospitals within West Java Province.
The aid was symbolically handed over by the Head of the Task Force Lussy A. Seba to West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil in Pakuan Building, Bandung, today, on Wednesday, April 29.
The aid consisted of 26,695 medical equipment such as 2,933 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), 933 pieces of protective helmets, 364 pieces of goggle glass, 452 pairs of boots, 2,148 pairs of medical gloves, 18,455 sheets of medical masks, 1,150 liters of hand sanitizers, 225 pieces of rapid tests, 25 liters of disinfectant, and 10 pieces of portable sinks.
They were donated by 13 SOEs of West Java, namely PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., PT Jasa Raharja (Persero), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk., PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Persero), PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk, PT Jasa Tirta II, PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Persero), PT Bank Nasional Indonesia (Persero), PT Bank Republik Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Pegadaian (Persero), and PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero)
The Head of the Community Assistance and Partnership Division of Covid-19 Countermeasure Task Force of West Java Province Dani Ramadhan expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance of the West Java SOE Covid-19 Task Force. He admits that all these donations were badly needed for the Large-Scale Social Distancing (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar/PSBB).
"As for the medical equipment, we will prioritize the distribution to the referral hospitals within West Java. Not only hospitals, but Community Health Centers and Clinics also urgently need them as their medical workers have not been adequately equipped with PPE," he said.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said that there's still a long struggle up ahead. We have begun to manage health emergencies, but we also have to think about economic consequences. A lot of people in West Java have already lost their jobs and livehood, and therefore need help.
"Of course, the government had made all efforts within limited capacity. So, we really hope that the SOEs will take part in our struggle to enter the next phase, economic emergency, and help the community who suffers food shortages," he concluded.
